White Sox Triple-A Affiliate Pwned by Fernando Perez of Durham Bulls
How did you spend your Labor Day weekend? Lamenting the fact your summer has slipped away oh so quickly once again? Sleeping? Eating? Drinking? Going to the picture show? Perhaps a combination of all these things?
Well, my friends, I challenge you to come up with a more entertaining 24 seconds out of your weekend than the above clip (via AA) of Fernando Perez of the Durham Bulls making Charlotte Knights catcher Cole Armstrong look rather foolish. (If your weekend involved alligators or perhaps deep-sea diving, you may have this beat.)
Though they had had the lead at this point in the game, the Bulls actually lost 7-5 Friday. But good news for Perez: the Tampa Bay Rays called him back up to the majors and he’ll be available for the postseason.
I hope he busts something like this out once in a game for the Rays — should be fun.

That's a beautiful thing.
First hybrid cars, now hybrid sports. Al Gore would be proud of Fernando Perez. He may also be taking credit for Fernando's move at a lecturn in a city near you. Be advised.
