I was a large proponent of the Oklahoma City Scissor-Tail Flycatchers when names for the new NBA franchise were brewing, but alas, it was not to be: they are the Thunder. (It would have been much more jawsome if they  attached “cats” to the end of “Thunder.” Or if they played AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” at the press conference. Oh wait, they did!) I would assimilate this name more with an MLS franchise than an NBA one, but hey, it’s certainly better that the Oklahoma City Dust Bowlers.

In any event, their Web site is a little sparse right now, but there’s plenty of gear for you to spend your hard-earned cash on. Why, check out this nice little Oklahoma City Thunder women’s crystal tank … for the low price of $55. Or you can get a basketball with their logo on it  … for $150. So if you spend over $200 plus shipping and handling, you can get a tank top and a basketball.

And they say our economy is struggling.
