Charlie Weis’ Knee Not Made For Football Sidelines

By Eamonn Brennan

As we continue catching up with all of the crazy things that happened over the weekend, I’d be remiss if I didn’t post this hellish video from Saturday. I like to make fun of Charlie Weis a lot. He has always struck me as pompous, self-mythologizing, and overrated. Also, he coaches for Notre Dame, which inherently makes him worth disliking.

But there’s no real good way to make fun of Charlie Weis’s knee meeting a football player’s shoulder, and subsequently snapping like a toothpick:

“Hey coach, you might want to turn around there …”

“Huh? Shut up. I’m plotting our next brilliant offensive possession.”

“But coach, they’re flying at you at an incredible rate of sp — HAPPYLOOKOUTAH!”

(Snap.)
