Josh Howard Does Not Care for Your Precious National Anthem
WARNING: This video is probably not safe for work. Unless, well, yeah, probably not. There is swearing and stuff. Be advised. Basically, Josh Howard is at a Carmelo Anthony - Allen Iverson flag football game (for charity, of course) when he decides to tell the camera that he does not “celebrate that s—”, re: the Star Spangled Banner. Yeah. Probably not going to go over well.
Now, as my FanHouse compatriot Matt Watson pointed out today, this probably wouldn’t be as huge a deal if J-Ho hadn’t gotten in trouble for three different things this summer. That being said, I wholeheartedly support the national anthem, even when it’s sung badly, so I don’t back Howard’s stance, except from the point of view that, well, because this is America, and we are free, he gets to make decisions like that. Still, this is gonna cause a pretty big stink when ESPN finally gets a hold of it and runs it into the ground
