Michael Jordan Was Better When He Didn’t Dunk
This video has since been taken off of YouTube. Probably because it was so AWESOME.
So, I’m usually not one for YouTube videos that clock out at more than a minute or two — ah, what’s in the other seven tabs I have open in my Firefox! — but this little number had me riveted for its entirety.
You see, this is a 4:48 compilation of Michael Jordan in and around the rim, but never dunking the ball. It’s those swirling, gliding, you-think-you-have-him-locked-up perouettes where he just tosses the ball up with his back to the basket and it slides in for two.
And it made me realize something: Jordan’s most awe-inspiring moves happened when he didn’t dunk the ball. That’s quite a feat, my friends.
