Hear Eddie Vedder’s Chicago Cubs Tribute Song ‘Someday We’ll Go All The Way’

OK, so I made fun of Eddie Vedder a little bit earlier, and it was all in good fun. I actually like Eddie Vedder, and I like Pearl Jam. I just want to make that clear.

Why the sudden clarification? Because I just listened to “Someday We’ll Go All The Way,” Vedder’s Cubs tribute song, and, um, it’s really effing good. The Irish singalong structure does more than compensate for the lyrics; it accentuates them, somehow turns them from sappy to earnest. Not gonna lie: I got goosebumps. Great song.

it should be "foul" weather. EV is referring to the fact that Cubs fans stick with the Cubbies even during the foulweather times....which is pretty much the last 100 years.

Nowadays, eBay is teeming with online retailers and people who build businesses around selling things on the service. Instead of nice, orderly listings from human sellers, every page I look at is mostly filled with duplicate listings of imitation products. There’s just too much noise.
