I know nothing about Philadelphia, except that T.J. Simers has made it a sympathetic place in my eyes, and that a really funny TV show that almost went the way of “Arrested Development” is based there, and that said TV show thankfully has about 50 more episodes to go before it cancelled. In your effing face, Batemen.

But this video might have kindled my love for the city forever:

I love that the stadium people were not only ready to react to potential boos with music, they were so confident the boos would happen they went ahead and blared the volume beforehand. Philly’s hate for Sarah Palin was as predictable as it was dedicated and the music did nothing to stop the chorus.

That’s the type of can-do spirit we need more often in this country, just a bunch of hockey moms and Joe SixPacks coming together to rain hatred on a public figure they so clearly detest. Aw, Philly! Bless your hearts, and god love ya!
