Brett Favre Denies He Provided Insider Information To Team That Wouldn’t Know What To Do With It Anyway
On Sunday, Fox Sports’ Jay Glaser said on the network’s pregame show that Jets quarterback Brett Favre called up some Lions coaches before their September 14th game against the Packers. According to Glaser, he provided the Lions with inside information on his former team’s game plan. Favre is denying this.
“I didn’t give [then-Lions president Matt Millen] any game-planning,” Favre said Wednesday. “I haven’t been in that offense in over a year. I don’t know what else to tell you. It was pretty simple.”
The report is apparently confirmed by two anonymous NFL sources, but Favre maintains in the above story that he simply got a call from now-fired Lions president Matt Millen and discussed hunting, only briefly discussing the subject of football. By the way, what is there to say about hunting? See the buck, shoot the buck, pee in a cup if you really have to go.
Millen likely took notes of the conversation on a notepad. It’s impossible to know at this point exactly what his notes looked like, but I have re-created an approximation I feel is accurate. See it after the jump.

You forgot the pedals, Matt! Nice work, though!
