Bulls Sign Aging Veteran To Shore Up Ailing Backcourt
This one had to happen at some point soon. With Kirk Heinrich and Larry Hughes on the shelf — though Hughes’ shot-chucking self is slated to come back soon - and Derrick Rose having a bit of an achy back, the Bulls needed somebody else in the backcourt.
That came today in the form of one Mr. Lindsey Hunter, who you may know as the guy that decided to name two of his four children Lindsey as well. Cool!
He’s no stud, but provides a solid backup to Mr. Rose. Let’s face it: for as much praise as has been heaped upon the Simeon product, he’s been shouldering much of the backcourt and scoring burden for the Bulls early on here. Along with his current back problems, he had some injury woes during the summer as well. This makes me a bit nervous. He’s only 20.
Let’s not run this guy into the ground before he even completes a season, OK?
