Eagles Guard Shawn Andrews Loves California Pizza Kitchen

I have a confession to make: I love Corner Bakery. They have good sandwiches, good soup, good chilli, good salad, good pasta. It’s the total package. There was a time, like two months ago, where I ate there three, maybe even four times in a week. That was sort of excessive. So I stopped. Now I go once a week or so. (Sidenote: I am going there today.)
BUT ANYWAY, when I read about Eagles guard Shawn Andrews (via Sports Dork) love for California Pizza Kitchen as he was rehabbing on the West Coast for the last five weeks, I totally get where he is coming from.
“I had lunch or dinner at California Pizza Kitchen pretty much every day,” Andrews, who goes 6-5 and close to 340 pounds, said yesterday. “My dish was the Margherita pizza with mushrooms, green peppers and pineapples.
“Then it was a Cobb salad minus the grilled chicken, bacon and avocado, and tortilla soup. They even gave me a special parking space there because I came so much.”
Andrews, who describes himself as a “pescatarian,” said he stopped eating pork and beef 10 months ago and gave up chicken about 4 months ago.
The menu at California Pizza Kitchen fits his taste and dietary considerations.
A Cobb salad minus the grilled chicken, bacon and avocado? That’s not really even a Cobb salad and it’s insulting to the inventor of the salad. Did you know the Cobb salad was invented by Bob Cobb in Chicago at the Brown Derby in 1937? BECAUSE IT WAS.
