Yankee Stadium Will Be Selling Yankees-Cubs Exhibition Tickets For 25 Cents

As previously reported, the first ever games in new Yankee Stadium will take place between the Yankees and Cubs, as they’re lined up for two exhibition games on April 3 and 4. It only makes sense that the Yankees, the most special team in the AL, would invite the most special team in the NL, the Cubs, over for some grand opening cheer, right? Right.
And they are going to make it a doubly special affair, as bleacher tickets are going for 25 cents, while grandstand tickets will be a cheap $1.10. This is in honor of the prices of the original Yankee Stadium opening on April 18, 1923. So the whole stadium is going to be cheap that day? Cool.
Well, not exactly:
Field level seats at the 52,325-seat ballpark will cost $45-$50, main level $20-$45 and terrace level $20-$35.
Hey, they need some way to pay for CC Sabathia’s new contract, OK?
