It’s A Good Thing Mike Vick’s Release Isn’t Predicated On His Supporters’ Web Design Skills

Mike Vick could use what we in the publicity business (note: writer not actually in “publicity business”) call a “new personal brand.” He needs an overhaul. Right now, Vick is known as the guy that went to jail because he mauled and tortured a bunch of dogs. Vick needs to become the guy that went to jail, had an epiphany — “jail really sucks” qualifies here — and has since decided to love dogs for the special, lovable, deity-of-your-choice-created beings that they are.
How to do this? Why, the Internet, of course! You can be anyone on the Internet! No one knows the difference! Which is why iSupport7.com has risen forth: To support Mike Vick, and to convince the members of the World Wide Wacky Web that Vick is actually a nice guy under all that dog torture:
Many of you know Michael Vick as being one of the most prolific athletes of our time. He has dazzled millions with his play making ability, speed, agility, and commitment to his team and the game of football as a whole. Mike is a loving father who is deeply committed to the happiness and well-being of his family and children.
“One of the most prolific athletes of our time?” Wait, who? “Guy who killed a bunch of dogs for sport?” Oh right. Mike Vick.
Unfortunately, Pro Football Talk is reporting that the site’s IP address is registered to Kijafa Frink, Vick’s fiancee and the mother of his children. As MDS so drolly quips, the part of the site’s mission about the family’s well-being and happiness is apparently based on first-hand experience.
Speaking of experience, (Warning: This is the part of the blog post where I make fun of some poor woman’s site design, but whatever. I gave up potato chips for Lent. What more do you people want from me?) iSupport7.com could use someone with some Web design experience. Though the slightly faded photo of Vick hugging an old white dude is a nice touch, the “postings” on the left scroll menu sorely lack for <p> tags, and really, who has two scollbars in the center of their page anyway? Geocities called (and kicked its son off its 56k modem while doing so), and it wants its design gimmicks back.
Yeah, that’s right, well-meaning Mike Vick supporter/fiancee. You just got Internet-snob served! Ooooh! All up in your face! (/does Digger Phelps dance.)

Rather than focusing on the dog fighting problem, the movie sheds light on solutions leading to "Vicktory" for all the characters in the movie, including heavily tattooed people, parolees, Pit Bulls and anyone who society has turned their back on through ignorance and prejudice. The film explores second chances and expresses the opinion than even Michael Vick deserves one, a highly controversial perspective within the animal rights community.
The documentary, which will debut at the Great Pit Ball in the Brenden Theaters at the Palms Casino, an all-day charity event on March 14 in Las Vegas to save Villalobos Animal Rescue Center, the largest rehabilitation facility for abused Pit Bulls in the world, features several notable names, including Bob Barker (“The Price is Right”), Danny Trejo (From Dusk Til Dawn, Heat) and Senator Chip Rogers, who just passed a bill in Georgia to make dogfighting a felony.
