Former Bear John St. Clair Chats With Us About Browns Signing
As I discussed yesterday, the Bears’ offensive line is going to look very different next year, as no starters are returning.
One of those former starters, John St. Clair, signed with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday. The Bears’ initial offer to St. Clair was for three years and $4.5 million; He signed for three years and a potential $9.1 million with the Browns.
Even if you failed math in high school, you can figure out the Browns offer was much sweeter. But, as St. Clair told our own Brittney Payton this morning, the Browns’ staff was incredibly cordial and rolled out “the red carpet” for him. The whole interview can be heard here, but below is just a snippet for you.
