So, FirstCuts has the theatrical trailer for the LeBron James And His Band Of Merry Men Documentary, titled I’m LeBron James And This Was My High School Basketball Team. We Were Really Good Because I Was On The Team That Will Be $10 Please.  Just kidding. That’s not what it’s called. The real title is More Than A Game. I think my title’s better.

Anyway, I liked this trailer, and then I asked Ryan why he seemed so lukewarm on it, and he has a point. If this is the story of how five basketball players overcame adversity and won accolades, it’s going to fall flat. YOU HAVE LEBRON JAMES ON YOUR HIGH SCHOOL TEAM. You have no adversity to overcome, all right? Everyone who plays you overcomes adversity by not crapping themselves the minute LeBron starts running at them. You guys just happen to be buddies with LeBron. A little perspective, eh?

That said, the trailer shows a lot of potential, and I’ll watch pretty much anything about basketball, except Glory Road. Sometimes a man must draw a line.
