Rainout Sparks Guillen, Piniella Hilarity
Last evening, the Cubs and White Sox did not play as scheduled because it rained a lot. No human likes to get wet — except for John Cusack — and the field was deemed unworthy of players’ feet trouncing all over it. Unfortunately, there will be no double-dip today or tomorrow; the game will be made up some time in September. (When both teams will be fighting for the playoffs, of course!)
Fortunately, Ozzie Guillen and Lou Piniella decided to say things that amused me, and I would like to pass them along to you. Consider it an early Christmas present, or that gift your estranged father never gave you for your birthday.
First, here’s Lou Piniella talking about Sammy Sosa’s reported PED use. Go to the end of the video, the 1:48 mark, and listen to Lou say he wouldn’t know “a steroid from a reefer.” LOL!
Second, and in my opinion the more enjoyable of the two, here’s Ozzie Guillen making fun of Wrigley Field. Again. I know he’s done this pretty much every day for a week now, but whatever, when Ozzie says the visiting clubhouse is like a closet and if you want to go to the bathroom you have to “take a taxi all the way out there,” I will always listen. It starts about the 1:00 mark:
Can we have a rainout every day?
