UPDATE: “Tiger Woods Fart” is No. 3 on Google Trends. The PGA Tour already took this video down, as well as several others that captured this moment. Is the PGA usually this aggressive? Does this mean Tiger was the farter in question?

After a poor British Open performance, Tiger Woods resumed being Tiger Woods this weekend with a win at the Buick Open.

But it wasn’t all serious competition mode for Tiger. Witness this bit of farting:

Damn. That was LOUD. Opinion seems to be split on whom the farting culprit is: some are saying it’s Tiger, and the reasoning is because he lifted his leg around the time of the fart. But, I don’t know, he was sort of twirling his leg around for a bit there. (Though, maybe it was all in an effort to hold it in?)

Other are just saying someone let one rip and it was picked up by the TV mic.

I’m in the latter camp, too: from Tiger and Steve Williams’s reaction, it seems as if they were laughing at someone else. Their eyes are focused over to their right when the camera hits them, as if they’re looking in the direction of the culprit.

But, I also want to believe it’s Tiger; his human element is something we rarely see.
