What’s Michael Jordan’s Ultimate Moment?
The Michael Jordan Hall of Fame induction promotions … they just don’t stop. We had Jordan Brand’s exhibit, and we had Gatorade’s tribute to him in the South Loop, complete with his own Gatorade and a commerical.
This time around? Gatorade’s back at it again. On Facebook, you can now vote for Jordan’s “ultimate moment,” which if you’re so inclined to enter, can win you a trip to the induction ceremony. Or you can just vote. Here’s the list:
- The shot (Jordan over Ehlo)
- Final shot in the ‘98 Finals (should have been his last shot)
- First title celebration (the trophy hug)
- Six treys, one shrug (when he went bananas in the first half against the Blazers in ‘92)
- MJ’s dunk in the Garden (visuals here)
- 1996 title win on Father’s Day (complete with tears)
- “Rock the Cradle” dunk (not the exact moment, but looks like this)
- 63 points (vs. the Celtics in the playoffs)
- ‘88 All-Star Game (complete with dunk contest win)
- 55 points in his comeback year (against the Knicks in the playoff)
As Skeets notes, it’s going to be really hard to top Jordan’s shot over Ehlo. That’s about the most replayed highlight, out of his many, many highlights. That’s my vote. Right now, his final shot in the ‘98 Finals against the Jazz is a close second to Ehlo. If I had to go with a No. 2, it’s the six threes against the Blazers.
