Just because NFL players are all grown up doesn’t mean their teams don’t have rules for them. For instance, here’s a little scenario for you: Mike Sims-Walker, who’s turning into a pretty good receiver for the Jaguars, was inactive for Jacksonville’s embarrassing 41-0 loss at Seattle this weekend. Word was he “violated a team rule.”

These sort of proclamations are always curious, because under the disguise of “team rule” is usually something teams don’t want out. It’s usually something fun.

Well, Michael C. Wright of the Florida Times-Union has a source, and this source has tremendous details of what Sim-Walker was up to:

Sims-Walker missed bed check Friday night due to a visit with a female friend that went a little long, according to an NFL source, who described the situation by saying, “undefeated and untied.”

Bow, chica, wow, wow. I sort of like to imagine Sims-Walker across the street at another hotel with this female friend, mid-escapade, checking his watch and then sprinting butt-naked across the street to try and make it back before bed-check time.

Obviously, he failed, and didn’t get to play. But think of all the people that got to see a naked man running across the street and through a hotel.

There are winners in this scenario, people.
