Remember when Ozzie Guillen was all bummed about how the Sox’ season ended, and it was reported he turned down offers to be a TV analyst during the playoffs? Well, he’s apparently turned that frown upside, friends. Yes, according to Sports Illustrated, Ozzie Guillen is joining the Fox Sports crew for the World Series, and he’ll be doing pre- and postgame analysis. (I recommend clicking through on the Sports Illustrated link; there’s the news hook, and then it just recounts times Ozzie has flipped out and cussed a lot. Hilarious.)

I’m actually pretty interested in how Guillen does. Will he just be the Charles Barkley on set, instilling some of his knowledge, but doing it in an offbeat, funny manner?

I’m betting so. This is Guillen after all. They hired him knowing what he’s like. And as long as they have the bleep button ready, this shouldn’t be a disaster, right?
