Breaking News: Marcus Jordan Commits To University Of Central Florida

I just got off the phone with Marcus Jordan. He told me he’s committed to the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Jordan was also looking at Iowa, Butler, Davidson, Stanford and Oklahoma, but thought UCF gave him the best chance at success. It was on his visit to UCF that Jordan knew he wanted to go there.
“It’s just a great atmosphere and everything they offer fits your needs,” Jordan told me. “It was pretty difficult because it’s a big decision and I wanted to be sure I made the right one.”
UCF is giving Jordan a full scholarship and has told him he has a chance at a starting position.
“They definitely said I have to earn it,” Jordan said. “So they gave me a challenge and I love a challenge so it’s a great opportunity.”
Jordan felt comfortable with the coaching staff and is looking forward to playing in coach Kirk Speraw’s three-guard offense.
“I’m most likely going to be playing the one and two,” he said.
The perks of playing at UCF include more than just basketball.
“I’m going to be not too far from my dad,” Jordan said. “Im just looking forward to playing a significant amount of minutes and being with my old Whitney Young teammate A.J. Rompza.”
