Everywhere You Look, There’s Harry Caray

Have you guys ever been to Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse on Kinzie? What about Harry Caray’s Tavern on Sheffield? Harry Caray’s Discount Furniture Store? What about Harry Caray’s Pawn Shop? Harry Caray’s Liquor Store, where all they sell is Old Style?
No, no, no, no and no? Well that’s OK. Because now you have another place to get a Harry Caray fix: Navy Pier. That’s right, they’re throwning in a Harry Caray’s Tavern there too.
Bringing another Chicago brand to that tourist site, the sports-themed eatery will move into the former Joe’s Be-Bop space. The board of the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, which owns and operates the pier, voted this morning on a staff recommendation to lease the space to Harry Caray’s, one of a number of bidders.
As you can see from my awesome illustration, this move brings Harry’s likeness a bit farther south in the city. That reminds me, I think there’s an open spot down on the South Side somewhere …
