Nike does many things well. Like, um, Niketown. That place is sweet. Also, ever seen one of their commercials? Widen + Kennedy seemingly never fail. And they’re ability to become a global brand across all sports? Not an easy thing to do.

For their latest trick, they’re shopping these Mercurial Rosa boots soccer cleats. Here, observe this commercial where everyone is all in a tizzy about them:

Here is the thing on this: I’ll buy that pink shoes on a male in any sport might bring ridicule from the opponent — that it’s not very common. But, I feel like society as a whole has sort of gotten over pink on a dude. From the Vineyard Vines sect to the streets, to everywhere in between, pink permeates. (Hell, I’d argue pink is like, so 2004. It was chic to wear it then, not so much now. But, I haven’t been keeping up with the new seasons of “Project Runway,” so what do I know.)

Anyways, I think the shoes are pretty cool.
