Wilson Picks Up D2 Offer

By Dave Spahn

As senior Danhi Wilson strolled around the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on October 18-19, he hoped that the coaching staff would get a head start on his recruiting race by offering him. Well, Wilson got his wish. This 6′3, 190  pound wing received his first offer courtesy of the Rangers, and he spoke about his fantastic visit. ” I had a really good time at Parkside,” stated Wilson. “I watched a practice while I was there. They practice hard and long. The players are really cool and they definitely work very hard.”

An athletic freak, Wilson currently has a college-ready body. Wilson is a monster on the glass and creates mismatches almost every time he steps on the floor. He can post up any guard that tries to defend him, and he can blow by almost all of the bigger players who try to block his path to the basket. Wilson is a workhorse on defense, blocking shots left and right. His long wingspan helps him deflect weak passes and turn them into ferocious dunks.

Wilson was one of the top players in the Full Package Exposure League brought to you by Illinoishsbasketball.com, and finished as one of the top 5 scoring leaders in the league. With another school season like Wilson had last year at Maine East, there is no doubt that a few more programs will send offers his way. Stay tuned for the inside info on this tremendous college prospect.
